Job Description:

Responsible for all aspects of project management associated with the implementation of assigned external customer-facing projects. Provides a single point of contact and is the client's face to the customer during implementation. Responsible for relationship management with client's strategic customers during the project management life cycle and may provide consultative advice and support.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

Supplier's networking engineering resource will:

  • Project manage all Order/Project activity.
Includes:

  • Collaborate with customer to confirm/define requirements
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Communicate customer requirements to partnering organizations
  • Acts as a point of escalation to customer
  • Track critical Milestones, transport and equipment, to ensure they are met
  • Provide/Communicate critical milestone status to customer
  • Coordinate critical events with customer (i.e. Test and Turn Up)
  • Participate in project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Create and Assign TASKs in client's Global Provisioning System (GPS) to partnering organizations and monitor for proper completion
  • Follow up, escalate, and resolve TASKS not completed on time
  • Work well independently
  • Collaborate and work in a global virtual team environment
  • Interact and communicate with Customer
  • Work in strict adherence to standard operating procedures and a zero tolerance change control environment.
  • Perform additional roles as defined by Customer or Manager
  • Provide Ad hoc technical consultation to customer
  • Acts as single point of contact and is the face to the customer during implementation.
Required skills:

  • Familiarity with Cisco hardware including switches, routers, WAN/LAN and WLANs
  • Familiarity with networking performance and monitoring tools and protocols
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage project milestones and critical elements
  • Proactively identifying risks and creating and implementing actions to mitigate risks needed to successfully complete projects
  • Ability to deliver messages to client in a professional manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and capture key processes and concepts quickly
Desired skills:

- CCNA

- Knowledge of AT&T Global Provisioning System (GPS)
