SQL Developer

job summary:
We are looking for a SQL Developer that can fit in with our Culture, and more importantly, someone that can present technical information to non-technical people.

This role sits on our Financial Systems team, but really the role is basically a SQL Developer.

Requirements:

* SQL, R or Python,

* Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Hadoop, Spark, Hive

* Experience in working with Unix/Linux environment

* Knowledge of descriptive analytics and data visualization

* Experience with full lifecycle agile application development in supporting analytic requirement

The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Work with cross functional teams to enable reporting and data analysis.
  • Point person for Dashboard & Reporting.
  • End user experience using Hyperion systems & Qlik
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create and maintain Dashboard / Reports with BI tools.
  • Analyze business processes in order to develop business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of the information.
  • Educate and support user community.
Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or MIS.
  • 5+ years of Information Systems development, implementation and support.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for detail oriented work and problem solving.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Excel (Macros and VBA)
  • Proficient SQL Querying skills (SQL / PLSQL / Oracle SQL)
  • Experience with Python, Scala, Java a plus.
  • Essbase, Qlik, Dodeca, Margin Minder knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to use and learn systems.
  • Can work both independently and in group settings.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills including the ability to work on multiple projects.
