Project Manager

job summary:
Project Management Consultant Role

Role Description:

This person will function in a project management consultant role. They will work in an I/S program office setting helping to facilitate project, program, and portfolio processes such as integrated planning, project gating, change management, metrics, portfolio reporting, etc. They may facilitate program and/or release level planning across multiple projects.

Daily duties include working with program and project managers on their project plans, integrating the plans, and creating consolidated status reporting and metrics. Work will include other process improvements as time allows such as improvements to our use of project/program management tools and processes.

Required Skills:

  1. Strong PM process background
  2. Project and program management experience across multiple teams and divisions
  3. Program/project metrics reporting knowledge
  4. Strong MS Project and Excel skills
  5. Strong understanding of dependency management across projects
  6. Planning experience with MS Project
  7. Team player
  8. Excellent Communication Skills - verbal and written
  9. Ability to work with all levels in the organization
  10. Strong planning and organizational skills
  11. Ability to meet tight timelines
  12. Proactive on problems and issues
Desired:

  1. Working knowledge of Agile practices and Scrum methodology
  2. Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) and CA Clarity tools
  3. Presentation and facilitation skills
