Business Systems Analyst Class A - III
At least 5 years relevant experience required. Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels. This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. Facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers. Plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery.
Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives. Acts as liaison between the user community and internal IT resources. Plans, facilitates, and participates in working sessions with cross-functional resources.

The Sales and Service Information (SSI) team is responsible for delivering reporting, performance management and analytical decision support tools to Client Leadership, Sales and Customer Service organizations.
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing ad-hoc information to support business decisions tailored to our Home and Entertainment line of business. This person will need to gather, validate and report on information from various disparate systems on condensed timelines. The Business Analyst will need to be a self-starter who can troubleshoot problems and can piece together puzzles with little guidance. They will also assist our development team in testing, production and distribution of reports and reporting applications as needed.
The Business Analyst also participates in larger Client projects and initiatives and provides requirements and suggestions based on reporting needs. This position works closely with Sales Channel representatives and various other departments within Client.
-Subject matter expert for Home and Entertainment data flows
-Works directly with Operations management to define and document new analysis/reporting initiatives
-Partners with Development team for creation of new reports based on existing systems, data, and tools
-Involved in larger Client initiatives and projects to design new reports and reporting solutions
-Cross-training as backup to other members on the team
-2-5 years experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL, and/or Teradata querying and reporting
-1-4 years experience in a Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst or Testing Analyst role
-Experienced with Software Development Life Cycle
-Advanced Excel and Power BI skills (pivot tables, formulas)
-Experience with Microsoft Azure
-Bachelor's degree from four-year college/university or equivalent work experience required
