Description:

- Lead and manage one or more multi-phase large data compliance programs

- Lead Program Management Team and consultants and contractors to deliver according to program objectives as well as communicate and collaborate within Client Business Units, including Client's Executive Team

- Manage and direct the security GDPR portfolio and provide direction and guidance across all workstreams to team members to ensure we are delivering excellence across project and advisory functions

- This role will be responsible for working across the organization to implement data protection remediation that protect our customer and employee data, but at the same time do not prevent progress within the business environment

- Work closely within Client's Security, Risk and Compliance Department as well as other Business Units within Client such as Application and Infrastructure

- Oversee full program scope and lead execution and delivery of the program to meet the overall needs of the business in accordance with security policies, standards, governing regulations and requirements

- Collaborate with internal leadership and team members to ensure the program interests are accounted for and Client's overall program vision is achieved

- Develop options, approach, delivery method, program management plan, execution plan and maintain overall responsibility for cost, schedule and scope delivery in accordance with PMLC (Project Management Lifecycle) practices and procedures (based off PMBoK)

- Responsible for the technical planning and implementations of data security technology across multiple platforms to drive alignment and program goals

- Responsible for interfacing with our compliance, audit and legal teams on matters of mutual interest

- Advanced skills in metrics and reporting and ability to take large amounts of complex data and communicate both verbally and in written format and presentation to executive audiences

- Use technical knowledge experience to provide thoughtful decision making and guidance in strategic implementation of Program's objectives

- Responsible for the delivery and portfolio management of scope, cost and schedules

- Manages the programming, planning, design, construction, schedule and budget related issues that pose challenges to the success of the project by drawing on knowledge and experience

- Accountable for the compliance with budget, schedule and scope of the projects

- Uses Project tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Oracle and others as defined by need

- Manage transparent, accurate, consistent project communication and reporting (weekly, monthly and quarterly) of portfolio of projects

- Effectively lead teams by establishing teams and individual goals that align with departmental goals

- Oversee direct reports' and self's individual performance and improvement plans

- Coach, counsel and assist employees to develop individual career development and training plans

- Use technical knowledge experience to provide thoughtful decision making and guidance in strategic implementation of Client's approved projects

- Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

ADDITIONAL NOTES

- Requires 8+ years' (flexible) program management experience at large global companies dealing with highly complex global projects with a lot of cross-functional dependencies and high touch business requirements

- Successful candidate will have a strong understanding of program management, how to put a program structure in place, process mapping, project plans, experience managing various workstreams, reporting, and financial tracking

- Project is in the initial phase of remediation

- Manager emphasized the fundamentals of a senior program manager in a business-facing role over GDPR experience, although regulatory and compliance program management experience would expedite the learning curve

- GDPR European regulation is fairly new - primary differences to convey to candidates without the experience is that a lot of money is at stake if not compliant and communication about PII

- Resource will also be at the front of a lot of "angst" as a result of the stress put on application teams - will need to be prepared for push back, diffusing situations, building strong relationships, and be able to articulate what GDPR is

- 10% travel anticipated between Chicago and Houston, or wherever stakeholders and application owners are located - all domestic
