Information Security Analyst

job summary:
This is an "Operations-Administrative" position where under minimal supervision, the candidate must ensure the safety of information assets by managing and controlling access to the Company's network, systems, applications and data. This responsibility primarily focuses on the administration and managing of user credentials as well as the managing and administration of the Company's archive systems (i.e., Proofpoint and Smarsh). This role must have a thorough understanding of directory services such as Active Directory (AD) as well as be able to execute all administrative tasks including group polices to manage enterprise controls, particularly those that interface with the Company archives.This role will also be responsible for e-discovery searches; and will ensure processes, strategy, standards, procedures and policy controls are documented.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Administrating AD and the Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) environment across the enterprise documenting policies standards and procedures; administering responsibilities including access controls to manage authentication and authorization to multi-cloud environments utilizing the Company's credential management system;
  • Administering AD integration and maintaining integration with the Company's archives;
  • Troubleshooting messaging and archive issues;
  • Ensuring all administrative practices are appropriate and comply with the Company's Information Security Policy and applicable regulatory requirements;
  • Applying industry standard e-discovery and data forensic best practices to conduct electronic data collections using forensic tools (Guidance, Encase).
  • Minimum five-years in experience of security administration in a multiple platform environment, multiple operating systems, and varied applications and network devices.
Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft forest architecture;
  • Strong working knowledge of ADFS, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as Azure authentication models;
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory security requirements, cloud architecture, industry security best practices, as well as the NIST & ISO frameworks;
  • Strong understanding of data authorization principles and best practices, particularly those that are associated with data warehouse solutions;
  • Strong working knowledge of messaging archives (i.e., Smarsh, Proofpoint)
  • Strong aptitude with the ability to participate in in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of Microsoft Platforms solutions
  • Strong knowledge of e-discovery practices;
  • Detailed knowledge of the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP);
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft windows desktop technologies;
  • Knowledge of Public Key Encryption (PKI) and Domain Name Service (DNS);
  • Knowledge in NIST & ISO frameworks; and
  • General knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Perl)
