job summary:
Description:

  • The main function of a Analyst/Developer is to develop, modify, and implement computer applications software changes including integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions.
  • Job Responsibilities: Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to other team members.
  • Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints.
  • Work with vendors on integration of purchased application solutions.
  • Complex application problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
  • Assists customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts.
  • Assist more experienced system development/support personnel in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems.

  • Fully knowledgeable of related infrastructure components and/or operating environment.

  • Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
  • High proficiency in a computer software application or programming language specifically identified in the assignment requirements
Candidate Responsibilities

  • Strong functional knowledge in a fast paced engine manufacturing environment to include Engineering, Quality, Plant Maintenance, Manufacturing Execution and Operations;
  • Strong technical skills to include SQL Development and Report Development/ Business Intelligence;
  • ERP Experience to include implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Plex ERP preferred;
  • Ability to work with users at all level of the organization and communicate at a level of detail that is appropriate for the particular audience;
  • Plex support to include: Ensuring the Plex system meets business requirements and goals and fulfills user requirements.
  • Identify and record systems issues.
  • Support administration of ERP security and permissions.
  • Resolve users' specific day-to-day problems, execute corrective action when necessary.
  • Support managers in business process improvements, implementing best practices and fully utilizing Plex system capabilities.
  • Assist in customization of Plex reports.
  • Train end users.
  • Test ERP changes;
  • Ensuring that requirements are met through all phases of a project to include conception, planning and design, execution, control, and closing.
  • Facilitating across internal and 3rd party resources (Plex) in order to meet specific business objectives;
  • Experience conducting business analysis from both a systems perspective and a process improvement perspective:
  • Work with users to Identify new business opportunities.
  • Scope and define detailed business requirements.
  • Support business case preparation, risk assessments, and feasibility analysis
Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
Technical Skills

  • JavaScript/ JSP, SQL, DB2, IMS, .Net, - C/ C++/ C#/ C/ITK (Teamcenter), Sterling Integrator, HTML/ Web Content Management/ CSS, Cobol/ JCL.
  • 5-6 years' experience required
