As a GIS IS Administrator focusing on Cisco Identity Services Engine ISE your primary responsibility is to provide design, implementation and support for ISE security services to Caterpillar. This position will require a solid knowledge of Cisco ISE, advanced route/switch, wireless, Cisco and third-party security products. Candidates seeking this role will take on the responsibility of managing and securing the environment and will design, plan implement LAN and WLAN security using ISE. All facets of this role will regularly collaborate with other regional experts and will need excellent communication skills.

work hours: 9am to 5pm
On a typical day, the analyst will perform ISE deployment tasks. Specifically, they will apply required switch configuration to establish either monitor or enforcement of device authentications. Prior to enforcement, the analyst will remediate failed devices to assure successful access to the network. The analyst will also investigate incident tickets associated with failed authentications at ISE enforced sites.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required (Cisco Certifications). 5-6 years Cisco experience required.
skills: Critical Technical Skills:
5-6 years of working experience with Cisco switch configuration and related IOS Minimum of 1 year experience with Cisco ISE deployment or support required. Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, Ethernet, IP Subnetting, OSPF, VLAN Trunking, Virtual Routing and Forwarding configuration (components of Cisco).
