Helpdesk Support

job summary:
Assists users who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services.

 
location: Tucker, Georgia
job type: Contract
salary: $15 - 17 per hour
work hours: 8am to 6pm
education: High School
 
responsibilities:
  • Maintains adequate communications with manager and advise of any problems of issues relating to assigned duties
  • Provides 1-2 level IT support
  • Acts as lead for front line support interface by accepting incoming requests from users.
  • Records required user and problem information in the Service Request Management System.
  • Establishes the priority of problems and requests to meet the SLO.
  • Determines the most effective manner to resolve the customer's problem.
  • Escalates higher-level problems to the next level technician.
  • Monitors systems and network status.
  • Works with users to troubleshoot, determine & resolve first and second-level problems.
  • Installs and configures company approved and licensed software.
  • Provides minimal training.
  • Comprehensive use of Remedy to track internal customer requests
  • Provides resolution of calls to meet SLO.
  • Responsible for timely acknowledgement of tickets.
  • Keeps work log updated.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
qualifications:
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year technical support experience required.
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills and represents IKON in a professional manner.
  • Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills; is team-oriented, dependable, enthusiastic, self-starting and self motivated.

  • Possesses ability to read & comprehend written technical information in form of technical manuals.
  • Possesses ability to work in fast paced and changing environment.
  • Possesses ability to read & comprehend written technical information in form of technical manuals.
  • Possesses prioritizing skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O/S and configuration and Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.
