Business Analyst Finance (IT)

job summary:
Finance Specific - Has experience in conducting analysis with expertise in different business areas, application wide analysis and proposal of solutions. Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business requirements. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.

Responsible for high level implementation plans, data and process models, cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and return on investments. These resources are also able to facilitate workshops such as JAD, RAD, and DRP sessions, etc. Business Analysts should also be able to perform as a team leader when necessary.

Job Scope:

- Documenting and Scripting automated Migration processes.

- mastery of Control-M and Task scheduling

- Managing and supporting the Planning Analytics infrastructure: TM1 Data Servers, TM1 WEB, TM1 PAW

- Managing and supporting client software packages deployment: TM1 Perspectives, TM1 PAX, Citrix

- Working on automating Backup, Recovery and other daily housekeeping tasks

- Document infrastructure change management and other tasks and adhere to strict procedures for audit requirements

- Proactively installing and testing new versions and updates of IBM PA/TM1 products

- Addressing infrastructure design shortcomings

- Assist w/ growing the use of PAW and TM1Web

- Monitor performance and provide tuning recommendations to the TM1 Sever, Tm1 Instance, web server, Operating system or detect other possible bottlenecks

- Assisting with release management

- Implement migration automation

Requirements:

- Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and work with software vendors as needed

- Solid knowledge of Windows OS platform on servers and desktops. Familiar with steps of troubleshooting application issues that might be caused by operations system and not the application itself.

- Understand Microsoft Active Directory LDAP

- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and security (IP, Routing, DNS, NLB, etc.)

- Be able to write or debug windows scripts that are written by others: batch, Power Shell, VBS, etc.

- Able to perform TM1/PA installation and configurations of server and client application for these components. TM1 Server, Tm1 Operations Console, Tm1 Web, Microsoft Office Tm1 client tools Perspective and PAX and apply patches to these components

- Work with TM1 server in different authentication modes and be able to switch modes Tm1 configuration to operate in these different modes, Native security, ldap, Cognos Business Intelligence security integration

- Have experience in designing and supporting Tm1 integration between Cognos Business Intelligence components

- Knowledge of TM1 Disaster Recovery and backup/restore processes for the server installation and the Tm1 business data

- Knowledge of Apache/Tomcat or WebSphere Liberty application server configurations

- Have knowledge of relational databases and SQL (preferably Oracle) to be able to run scripts for troubleshooting or administrative purposes
