job summary:
Data Analyst: Risk Assessment and Control Evaluation (2 Openings)

Sr. Specialist, Risk Assessment and Control Evaluation This role is responsible for receiving, managing, and reporting risk assessment, monitoring and control deficiencies as identified by the risk groups and Risk and Control Managers as well as verifying, approving, researching and documenting in our systems of record. This position aids in the end to end administration of the risk and controls function including data analysis, entry, validation and reporting. Key functions in this role include management of the team inbox and response to inquiries, weekly data validation reporting, resolution of risk assessment or monitoring gaps, liaising with risk groups to mine data and solution anomalies, preparation of materials to support audits/exams or governance reporting, Risk and Controls team support, and other requests or projects as needed. Flexibility is a key part of this role as this individual will be asked to switch gears throughout the day in order to assist the department with meeting critical deliverables, especially during periods of high volume or quarterly launches.

responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor role. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Perform research and remediation of third party data anomalies - Tracking and reporting of vendor issues (deficiencies) and outreach to risk group(s) - Performing vendor risk and monitoring questionnaire enrollments and tracking - Develop dashboards/reports as needed for management to measure functional statuses and SLAs - Review and update existing dataset when newer, more accurate information is found or provided - Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to process work accurately in a high volume environment - Have an understanding of how contract and supplier information is used and how risk is assessed and monitored - The ability to take high level, sometimes ambiguous requirements and develop them into functional processes - Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

 
qualifications:
Required Skills:

- 2+ years of experience working in an operational role, preferred emphasis in data analysis and process management but not required - Excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate to employees at all levels - Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment and be able to produce with minimal direction. - Strong analytical, problem solving, and data analysis skills

 
skills: - Strong initiative, willingness to take on projects and prioritize work proactively - Strong focus on attention to detail, including the ability to quickly discern relevant information - Ability to learn, adapt quickly and understand procedural concepts - Can serve as a Subject Matter Expert and a resource to others in the department, to help resolve issues - Ability to gracefully work through challenging situations while minimizing escalations - Experience building effective relationships with internal stakeholders - Experience working in a heavily regulated industry a plus - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience - Desire for growth opportunities, ongoing training , and further knowledge in the Financial Services industry
