The SDLC scrum is responsible for many of the underlying software packages which enable developers on other teams to deliver new features and functionality in an automated, repeatable, and scalable fashion. The Data Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the database that centralizes information for the reporting and analytics group. The sources of data for this database exist in a variety of locations and the Data Engineer will need to automate pulling all of the information into a single source and ensure that the reporting database is optimized. These data sources may include queries from Oracle or MongoDB, as well as inserting data from a time-series database. The Data Engineer will also need to write and maintain scripts to query the OpenStack infrastructure and then automate inserting that data into the reporting database.
