qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in English, communication, or related field.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write clearly and concisely for multiple audiences
  • Ability to interact effectively and proactively with SMEs and other team member to gather information
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical concepts for a non-technical client audience
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts using graphics
  • Ability to react quickly to changing situations and implement alternative strategies
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Proficiency with the following applications:

    • MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
    • Adobe Robohelp (HTMLHelp and Webhelp)
    • Adobe Dreamweaver or other HTML editor
    • Adobe Captivate
    • Adobe Acrobat Pro
    • JIRA
    • Snag-it
Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 6+ years' experience as a technical writer in a software development environment
  • Familiarity with using (KMS) knowledge management system in conjunction with Salesforce for delivery of application documentation would be a bonus
  • Familiarity with software development, testing, and release cycles
  • Familiarly with basic financial/investment industry concepts and terminology
  • Familiarity with 401k retirement plan concepts and terminology (investment elections, realignments, vesting, payroll, loans, distributions, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with retirement plan recordkeeping applications used to administer retirement plans
