Digital Asset Management Administrator

job summary:
Our client has a 6+ month contract opportunity for a Digital Asset Management Administrator in Rancho Cordova, CA.

This role will oversee our client's newly developed Digital Asset Management System (DAM). This person will establish, document and govern all asset activity to and from the DAM. This role will closely work with the an operations team along with our client's creatives, business partners, and various end users to develop this enterprise wide initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill strategy, implementation and workflow of the Digital Asset Management system for our client.
  • Work with users and stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements .
  • Understanding of photography, creative, and production processes common in agencies, marketing teams, and digital media organizations.
  • Create process , and training documentation for the full range of users.
  • Organize and create efficient metadata structures, taxonomies, workflow and file-naming conventions.
  • Understand rights management and archival issues and configure policies to address current and future needs.
  • Assign appropriate metadata to assets, archive and delete assets as necessary, and create curated groups of assets for end users as needed.
  • Audit system performance and gather user feedback
Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience as a digital librarian working OR 2 years agency experience
  • Digital marketing and social media experience
  • Experience working with geographically separate project teams
  • Experience building, deploying and supporting Internet-facing applications
  • Superior problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Fanatical about creating order from disorder
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to apply sound judgment while working independently
