Description:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

- 5-7 years of IT business analysis experience

- Background in iOS mobile application development

- Wireframe, process diagrams and Use Case drafting and presenting

- Ability to elicit requirements utilizing industry standards applicable to Airline domain

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook

- Communication Skills - The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably, at the right level

- Integrity and Trust - Involves being widely trusted, being seen as a direct, truthful individual, being able to present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner, keeps confidences, admits mistakes, doesn't misrepresent him/herself, puts principles above personal gain

- Teamwork - Involves working well in collaborative settings, supporting work team by volunteering for and completing assignments, acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions, developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer

DESIRED

- 3+ years of business analysis experience in the Airline Industry, preferably in the aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) domain

- 2+ years working in collaboration with UI/UX designers

- 2+ years' experience in Agile projects

- Prior .Net or Java development experience is a plus

- Working knowledge of SharePoint

- Working knowledge of TFS

- Candidates rolling off or who have recently rolled off of similar projects within the organization

- Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, gets customer information and uses it for improvements, acts with the customer in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect

EDUCATION

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration required

REQUIREMENTS

- Project involves the deployment of applications onto iPads for aircraft technicians (moving away from shop manuals) and is in the initial phase

- Successful candidate will have a background in iOS mobile application development - doesn't need to be a coder - but needs to understand technologies

- Manager needs a technical and process-oriented BA to work with the business and gather requirements per industry standards

- Experience with SQL and Oracle databases

- Experience with Visio for process mapping

- Experience in an Agile environment

- Must be willing and flexible to learn and apply new technologies in the industry, self-motivated, ambitious, eager, etc. and have great communication skills

- Will require some flexibility around deployments (after hours)

- Minimal travel required - kickoff meeting may be in Chicago and may also have to travel for demos

- Possibility for extension

- Local candidates preferred - will conduct phone screens, followed by in-person interviews
