Business Analyst

job summary:
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation and documentation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to use analysis with associated applications.

- Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues and influencing customers on recommendations and analysis.

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated experience in facilitating meetings

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple relationships across the organization, and at times with external parties and clients

- Experience acting as liaison among business leaders, staff and utility functions to gather information and share best practices, and to ensure initiatives are executed appropriately

- Experience leading presentations at meetings

- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and developing creative solutions

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas, issues and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Track record of accomplishments, despite obstacles.

- Ability to influence across organization and to senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Data Governance process and tools

- Financial services and product knowledge

- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio, HP Quality Center,

- Self-motivated, organized individual with an ability to work independently and within a team, build relationships, interact effectively with business partners, and recognize when to escalate issues.

- In-depth knowledge of business operations and processes with ability to articulate these processes to others.
