SAP MM/WM Analyst

job summary:
We have a direct FTE role for a Senior SAP MM/WM Analyst with a client of ours in Cary, NC. Candidates must have experience in the manufacturing industry.

This role is responsible for the overall design, implementation and support of MM-Materials Management (including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Valuation, Batch Management, MRP) and WM-Warehouse Management. Primary focus is on the North American facilities, but support of facilities in other continents (South America, Europe, Asia) can be requested. Experience of warehouse processes including barcoding, scanning and labeling in a manufacturing environment (chemicals a plus) is preferred. Additional knowledge of Sales & Distribution and Production Planning is a strong advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the improvement of how core SAP (MM/WM) can be used best to support our processes. Must be comfortable in challenging the status quo.
  • Technical support: Provide support and take leadership on MM and WM including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation.
  • Production support: Provide support for MM/WM issues on high priority and timely manner. Recording incidents, working on root cause analysis and providing permanent resolutions working with internal technical teams to resolve the issue and avoid them from happening repeatedly.
  • Proactive Analysis: Analyze usage, incidents and new requirements to come up with strategy to effectively support production by either developing tools or integrating tools available in the market.
  • Build partnerships with internal customers who are involved in Logistics processes and other systems that are involved in it.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Logistics or Engineering - related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years strong hands-on work experience in SAP MM/WM required in a business facing role (consulting or business analyst position)
  • Team lead on at least 1 full life-cycle SAP coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Strong knowledge of (global) Master data management (Material Master, Vendor Master)
  • Additional experience in PP, and SD/LE SAP modules and FICO integration a plus
  • Experience with barcoding and/or label printing solutions is preferred
  • Experience with defining and troubleshooting interfaces (EDI and non-EDI) a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Business SME's, Technical IT team members and as well as end users across the globe (excellent verbal and written communication skills)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate a strong track record of delivering results
  • Ability to work autonomously with little guidance
