Weekend Nights (4 on / 3 off schedule)
Seeking several Senior Network Security Engineers - SOC within its Global Services Organization focused on delivering cloud security services of solutions. As a key member of our team, the SOC Engineer supports our mission critical production environment, protecting critical infrastructure and our clients from the latest information security threats. The Senior Network Security Engineer - SOC is responsible for developing, enhancing and executing documented procedures, focus on real-time security alert analysis, apply countermeasures to evolving threats in real time, customer reporting and ensure the overall availability of our security infrastructure.
The Senior Network Security Engineer - SOC is responsible for developing, enhancing and executing security operations processes, provides real-time security analysis, incident response and ensuring the 24x7x365 availability of our production security infrastructure.
The position is based in our 24x7x365 Security Operations Center.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Network Security Engineers - SOC is responsible for providing cloud and security services to our global customer base.
These responsibilities include:
Passionately being a key member of a 24x7 Security Operations Center delivering world-class cloud services to global enterprise, hosting provider, service provider, and MSSP customer base.
Support a Mission Critical production environment, protecting critical infrastructure and our clients from the latest information security threats.
Develop, enhance, and execute documented procedures, focus on real-time security alert analysis, perform firewall administration, customer reporting and ensure the overall availability of our security infrastructure
Apply countermeasures to mitigate evolving security threats in real time
Act as escalation contact within the team and participate in On-Call rotation
Improving Cloud Service offerings by providing regular feedback to Product Management/Engineering on how to enhance, grow, and tune the offerings

Experience and Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in CS/EE and 6-12 years progressive experience in technical support, services, information security, network security, engineering functions with very strong fundamental understanding of telecom network and routing environments.
Prior Demonstrable Experience working within a SOC (Security Operations Center) desired.
Advanced experience with a wide variety of security devices including routers, firewalls, IDS's, load balancers, IPS, WAF, IDMS, and Reverse Proxies
Strong technical understanding of network fundamentals and internet protocols
Experience with the installation and support of intrusion detection systems, firewall administration and packet capture tools
Proficient with UNIX, LINUX and scripting skills a plus
Strong knowledge of the security landscape (attack vectors and tools, best practices for assessing and mitigation)
Must have strong verbal and written communication to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff
Industry recognized certification, CISSP Desired - other security certifications Desired
Experience using traffic generators such as IXIA or Breaking Point Desired
Experience using Arbor SP and TMS products Desired
Prior Experience in a 24x7x365 technical environment Highly Desired
Prior NOC/SOC Tier3 and Tier4 Experience Desired
BGP Knowledge Desired
JUNOS Routing Experience Desired
DNS Knowledge Desired
SNMP Based Device Management Desired
Network Packet Analysis skills REQUIRED
