job summary:
Position Summary:

The Drupal Developer role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new Drupal websites based on analysis of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing Drupal-based sites and modules. The Drupal developer will also document and support the sites and extensions throughout the production life cycle. The position will include both working with project teams in an Agile environment and self-directed activities. The position's responsibilities require independent analysis, communication, and problem solving. Work is preformed with little supervision and requires initiative, organization, and judgment. Simulates or recreates customer problems to resolve operating difficulties.

responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches

- Experience in following Agile development practices

- Ability to get things done without being micromanaged

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Technical proficiency to accurately document code

- Require minimal supervision and provide oversight for assigned projects

- Prepares proposals and time estimates for future work

- Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications

- Performs role of subject matter expert for their technology

- Perform various tasks associated with application programming

- Provide day-to-day IT support to business partner groups

- Ability to work "on call" as required

 
qualifications:
Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelors degree, plus a minimum of 2 years experience in software development

Experience:

- 3+ years building sites using: Drupal CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Backbone.js, Node.js, or JQuery Mobile

- 2+ years experience with creating custom Drupal modules

- 2+ years experience maintaining and administering Drupal modules

- 2+ years experience with PHP

- 2+ years experience with Drupal theme layer

- 2+ years experience with AJAX and SOAP/RESTful API usage

- Experience with Magento a big plus

- Understanding of the entire software development process, including: design, development and deployment (back end knowledge is a plus)

- Deep SQL database experience (Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL)

- Experience using BitBucket and Jira
