Software Engineer

job summary:
Our Sports Software Team provides Real-Time visibility into the game during Football Season. As a member of the Zebra's sports software team, the candidate will be helping Sports Engineering team in building next generation of sports software platform in the Cloud. Looking for someone who has proven experience in building large scale enterprise grade web applications. Must have passion to learn new technologies and able to take lead on individual module and deliver. Candidate will be working with the Team in San Jose .

  • You will have an opportunity to work on building Sports Analytics Product from scratch
  • Work with Product owners in understanding the requirements
  • Work across teams, supporting BackEnd engineers to design APIs and collaborating with UX designers.
  • Be part of design discussions and come up with optimal solution
  • Must have 8+ years of experience building web applications
  • Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • 2+ years of solid experience working with React.js
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript (ES6, ES7)
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
