Location: Bethesda, MD

Duration: 3-6+ month contract with possible extension or hire

Summary :

The PeopleSoft Programmer is responsible for assisting the team in implementing IT solutions for the needs of the company. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, planning, testing and implementing system enhancements and custom development for PeopleSoft ERP applications, and p erforming all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management . This is an exempt position and typically reports to the Manager, Director or Sr Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs/Develops/Implements business solutions using PeopleSoft Application
  • Builds effective integrations with other applications using the latest technologies
  • Collaborates with other departments within the organization to determine business needs, write technical requirements and specifications for new products or services
  • Analyzes project and program specifications; conducts analysis and determine necessary technology based on specifications
  • Designs and programs appropriate code, screens, reports, etc. necessary for applications using department standards and procedures
  • Oversees and conducts software developments through to fully tested and documented deliverables to the User community and trains super-users in the use of new system functionality or modifications to existing functions
  • Performs thorough program testing and document changes or enhancements to applications, code, or interfaces
  • Designs, implements, and supports new reporting tools
  • Supports PeopleSoft and various off-the-shelf applications
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment :

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Requires 3+ years of PeopleSoft programming experience in a real world employment/situation
  • Requires experience with PeopleSoft Financials version 8.5 or higher
  • Requires working knowledge of SQL
  • Requires excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Requires exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Requires experience in development using People Tools
  • Requires experience using SQR, Application Engine, People Code, Integration Broker, Component Interface, XML Publisher and AWE
