Sr. Front End Web Developer

job summary:
Randstad Technologies is looking for a web developer to support our healthcare insurance client in Reston, VA. This resource will be working on a public facing website so must have experience working in this domain, ideally within the healthcare space.

salary: $62 - 68 per hour
work hours: 9am to 5pm

responsibilities:
This will be a lead position that will be working on client facing websites as well as leading a team of front end developers. This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience and at least 6-8 years of proven experience developing client-side web technologies and 2 years' experience leading front-end developers.

 
qualifications:
Must to have:

? Expert level object-oriented, best-practice JavaScript and jQuery.

? Exposure to and understanding of HTML5/CSS3 and collateral technologies.

? Coding Standards - HTML, CSS and Sass/LESS/etc, JavaScript

? Style Guides or Pattern Libraries, "a common language"

? Dependency Management, package managers, etc

? Build Systems, Grunt/Gulp/etc

? Linting, Compiling, Minifying, etc

? Performance Optimization for CSS, JS, images, asset caching

? Help plan, design, build and review content-managed, usable, and accessible and standards compliant web sites.

? Understanding the cascade, inheritance, semantics, and being able to choose the best style of CSS organization for the project.

? Organizing and building UI modules, working closely with visually-focused designers/CSS developers

? Consistency of modules, look and feel, UI interactions

? Creating file and folder structure and naming conventions, for HTML and CSS, most likely JS as well, and helping define back-end naming conventions for consistency
