Senior Solutions Developer / Architect

job summary:
The Senior Solutions Developer/Architect role will be part of Data Management Systems group that is responsible for delivering enterprise data integration solutions. This role will engage in all various aspects of the development lifecycle for API and data management solutions: envision, design, build, and deliver.

Building and leverage relationships with internal and external partners to act as technical liaison and partner, this role will leverage deep hands-on knowledge of key technologies to help deliver critical data solutions.

Candidates must have proven hands-on experience with the following and the ability to mentor junior members and contribute to building a MuleSoft practice in client:

- Experience developing applications for Mulesoft Integration Layer and the entire API life cycle, including RAML, Swagger, Data Mapper, DataWeave language and use of connectors for integration.

- Experience developing applications for Mulesoft Integration Layer and the entire API life cycle, including RAML, Swagger, Data Mapper, DataWeave language and use of connectors for integration

- Experience with MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform including Designing APIs, Building APIs, Design and development of Flow processes, Accessing and Modifying Mule Messages, Structuring Mule Applications, Consuming Web Services, Handling Errors -

 
qualifications:
Experience with AWS development and automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, etc. General experience in the following areas, with deep knowledge in others is highly preferred:

- API based data integration with internal systems like Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft as well as external SaaS applications

- REST and SOAP web services with XML and JSON schema, WSDL, DTD

- Experience with the full software lifecycle including version control frameworks such as SVN or GIT

- JavaScript, Ruby, Python or similar languages

- Node.js, React.js, Rails, or comparable stacks

- Message Oriented Middleware (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Amazon MQ)

- API-led Integration Security (two-way SSL, OAuth 2.0, SAML, WS-Security)

- Relational Databases Design and Development (SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2) and NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB) The key responsibilities for this position include the following:

- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, project team to identify, develop, document, and deliver API

- Demonstrate strong written and presentation skills - Build, test, and deploy API's using appropriate technology for the documented requirements - Build a reusable data model for a number of separate application instances used by various business units around the university

- Work in Agile environment and contribute to the agile ceremonies, backlog planning, prioritizing stories

- Prototype concepts to assist with feasibility analysis - Troubleshoot production issues - Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation

- Adhere to Harvard's High Risk Confidential Information (HRCI) practices and Policy on Access to Electronic Information both within applications and in everyday work Typical Core Duties:

- Participate fully in software development life cycle

- Research, design, and implement technical solutions to deliver business requirements

- Identify opportunities to improve and simplify applications portfolio and implement related enhancements

- Contribute to creation and maturing of software development best practices and new technologies - Draw on relationship and technical skills to act as technical liaison to internal and external clients and to mentor junior staff

- Abide by and follow the client IT technical standards, policies and Code of Conduct

 
skills: Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of five years' post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience Additional Qualifications:

- 2+ years' experience w/ MuleSoft technology stack in the entire API life cycle

- Experience with AWS development and automation tools

- 7+ years in software development experience - B.A./B.S. degree preferred
