Mid-level Server-Side Core Java Developer
This role is for a strong server-side core Java developer.
The candidate will have the opportunity to both develop business facing solutions and to put engineering expertise to use advancing the framework used by 20+ developers. This is a hands-on position which will involve 90% development and 10% production release support role.
The candidate will be expected to ensure comprehensive unit test coverage, recommend and implement solutions, participate in and conduct code review sessions, and provide process improvements. The candidate will additionally be expected to provide hands on technical support, advice, and consultation with open issues relating to supported applications plus assure quality, performance, security, and compliance with enterprise standards for those application platforms.

work hours: 8am to 5pm
Understand and translate business needs into technical requirements and implementations. Must be willing to participate in all aspects of software life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance. The team operates in an Agile manner and the ability to clearly communicate updates to peers and management during daily scrums is a requirement. The candidate will be expected to clearly represent tasks in this tool.

3-5+ years of application development and implementation experience
3-5+ years of Core Java experience
3+ years of multi-threading experience
2+ years of Linux experience
Knowledge of Git or comparable source code control system and best practices for multi-developer software development
Experience with pub/sub messaging / JMS
Experience writing unit test cases
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Practiced with Agile development methodologies
Ability to learn new skills
Proven problem solver
skills: The candidate should have solid communication skills and be a good
team player who can interface with business analysts, management, and other technology groups.
