Product Owner

job summary:
This role will be required to manage application-related project work as well as any sustainment work for the Landmark applications in his/her portfolio. This full time resource will be responsible for working with the project/support teams to understand requirements and driving overall delivery. Day-to-day activities will include attending Daily/Weekly project meetings, working with internal product stakeholders, and to be the key technical contact for products post release.

Primary Job Responsibilities

· Be the focal point from a functional standpoint to product portfolio

· Prioritize and maintain product backlog

· Groom and develop appropriate sprint work in TFS

· Uphold the product vision through releases

· Responsible for maximizing value of the product

· Drive product from a business point of view

· Uphold awareness of ROI and delivering the most value for money spent

· Keep stakeholders engaged early and continuously in the development process

· Perform product demonstrations to senior management

· Manage requests and ideas from product stakeholders

· Ensure that teams abide by the agile methodology

· Provide product support as required

· Manage and provide monthly product financial data within budget

· Manage monthly status reporting

· Work with Development team to ensure all troubleshooting, repairs, enhancements and appropriate QA and testing is applied to the applications

· Provide direction to offshore resources in order to ensure tickets, cases and other offshore required work items are managed correctly via process

· Able to take direction to optimize stakeholder satisfaction, as needed

· Communicate actively, effectively, and professionally to various audiences on releases, roadmaps, financials, issues, backlog

Preferred Experience

· 5 years of Oil and Gas experience

· Agile Methodology

· Strong software background including, but not limited to Salesforce, TFS, Appian, SAP, all Microsoft Office Software, etc.

· Functional Experience with Customer Delivery, Customer Service and Customer Support of commercial software

· Stakeholder and vendor management

· Under general supervision, responsible for the development, maintenance, and/or support of application(s) in an assigned technology, major system, or functional area (e.g., process simulation, document management, payroll, etc.).

· Provides strong assistance in analysis work leading to requirements/specifications, estimates, and system designs.

· Participates in programming, system testing, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup/support, often involves performing project setups, analyses, designs, etc., for/with customers. Similar duties are often associated with the installation and configuration of applications licensed from third parties.

· Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed. Job tasks correctly performed impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.

· Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in CS, MIS, BA or Engineering and 4 years of related experience, 8 years in Systems Development and/or Applications Support which includes experience in Analysis, Design, Programming, Production Selection, Maintenance and/or Support and a working knowledge of functional area and associated applications and information technologies.
