Digital Chief Marketing Officer

job summary:
The Chief Marketing Officer("CMO") works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to drive the national strategic marketing development initiatives of the affiliated entities. The CMO ensures that the organization's message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives. The CMO coordinates the production of public relations; media, creative content, promotions and advertising. This also involves seeking out new ways to deliver messaging, such as mobile devices, video, digital and social media. The CMO develops strategic plans to identify, retain and grow customer base; identify and develop significant growth opportunities for the ministry; marketing and brand image; develop and manage e-commerce and interactive strategies; and conduct end-to-end analysis required to support business/strategic decision making, while collaborating with stakeholders to implement the strategy for all areas of marketing including sales, customer experience, public policy, media relations, printed and electronic promotions, television, web and electronic services and for all corporate programs.

responsibilities:
Works closely with the COO and CEO in developing the ministry's plan for strategic growth. This includes identifying trends and growth opportunities; identifying strategic gaps in the market and researching opportunities to address these gaps and present findings and recommendations to senior management for further development. Daily monitoring of business development and outcomes reporting directly to the COO and CEO.

- Evaluate and make recommendations on the ministry's short and long-term growth strategies.

- Evaluate market trends for the purpose of understanding emerging trends and identifying possible future opportunities and strategic partners.

- Provides a high-level of clear and concise information sharing (research and detailed business reporting) to COO and CEO

- Executes process mapping for projects and business functions

- Performs market analysis and feasibility research related to potential product and service offerings

- Creates strategic plans for marketing-related functions

- Analyze existing marketing, operations and business functions and identify areas of deficiency

- Analyze industry standards for products and assists in determining appropriate product mix

- Provide project management throughout the development of new products and offerings from concept to deli very.

- Manage multiple reporting projects by developing formal project plans and processes and provides weekly updates

- Takes an external image and focus to plan and direct marketing of the organization's products and services by performing the following duties personally and/or through subordinate staff.

- The CMO leads marketing operations, sales operations, product management, partnership marketing, and customer service and customer retention.

- As part of the marketing operations, the CMO takes care of the company's digital, social media and industry relations, advertising, interactive programs, communications as well as market and customer research.

- The CMO must ensure that the company's branding comes across in all media.

- Ability to research, analyze and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities.

- Ability to develop and manage marketing operational budget.

- Ability to plan and oversee advertising, digital, social, sales and promotional activities including television, radio, print, and direct mail.

- Ability to evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.

- Ability to determine agencies and suppliers of record, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for major service.

- Ability to develop and direct all broadcast media outlets for product placement.

- Ability to serve as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns

- Ability to develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

- Ability to oversee development and production of promotional and collateral materials.

- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.

- Ability to achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to present standards and industry and economic trends.

- Ability to ensure effective control of marketing results, takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.

 
qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience of senior leadership experience in marketing and sales management with a thorough knowledge of marketing principles.

2. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in the leading, development and assessment of the area of Marketing.

3. Sales and business development, along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance.

4. The ability to understand changing market dynamics, translating them into actionable strategy and implementing the strategy to achieve pre-set objectives as determined by the marketing plan.

5. Experience in managing budgets effectively across multiple departments, financial reporting, setting up effective metrics and business processes.

6. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.

7. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in the leading, development and assessment of the area of Marketing.

8. Knowledge and experience working with non-profits and urban markets required.

9. Superior communication skills, both written and oral.

10. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

11. Experience with technology and social media applications

12. Demonstrated organizational skills.

13. Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.

QUALIFYING EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :

14. BA in Marketing or related business field of study.

15. MBA in Marketing preferred

16. Minimum of three (3) years related professional experience in the area of strategic marketing, planning, management consulting, ecommerce leadership, business and financial analysis.

17. Must have significant experience building complex business models.

18. Significant experience in business case development required.
