job summary:
Randstad is looking for a Quality Engineer on a contract basis for a client in the Orange County market. As a part of the Quality team this position will be responsible for supporting IT system needs and managing business systems projects. Qualified candidate must have a very strong background and hands on experience in Oracle EBS Supply Chain and Operations modules: Inventory, BOM (bill of materials), Routing, WIP (work in progress), Costing, Order Management and Shipping. The candidate should be experience in forecasting tools and Value chain planning modules of Oracle R12 (Demantra, Rapid Planning /Collaborative Planning)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the application and process Quality Engineer SME (subject matter expert) for the supply chain & planning functions
  • Analyze business and other data processing problems to implement and improve supply chain processes of the client with comprehensive business and industry solutions
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve cross-functional systems and process projects related to operations, particularly in the areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Optimization, and Supply Planning
  • Analyze system/process changes and enhancement requests to prioritize requests
  • Develop Solution Design and Functional Requirements documentation
  • Perform functional design, architecture, regression, and user acceptance testing for business system applications enhancements
  • Work with cross-functional teams, and other IT and business stake holders, to ensure successful planning and execution of systems projects
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Working experience with Demantra demand management
  • Strong working knowledge of application architectures
  • Ability to successfully establish and maintain relationships with internal customers and dedication to meeting customer expectations and requirements
  • Ability to create technical documentation, analyze and translate requirements and development stories into test scripts
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes and methodologies; attention to detail; written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and, time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent assignments required
  • Capable of working independently and collaborating with other team members as needed
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to handle competing priorities
  • Previous project management experience with critical production systems preferred
  • Experience working with UI/functional test automation tools preferred
  • Medical device industry experience preferred
skills: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related equivalent IT field preferred
  • Experience in R12 required
  • 8+ years' experience in IT analysis, design and implementation with 5+ years with Oracle EBS and 3+ yrs with Oracle EBS R12 (QE Testing)
  • Experience with Oracle EBS R12- Inventory, BOM, Routing, WIP, Costing, Order Management and Shipping
  • Strong knowledge of all components of R12 VCP and its interaction with Demantra
  • Experienced with various software development process (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) from the test design, test automation, and execution perspective
