job summary:
The Project Services CPMO Analyst supports the administration of the Technology Services CPMO. This role will administer the pipeline management function in the CPMO including the Investment Concept/Business Case process, project initiation, and reporting. This role will participate on internal workstreams and CPMO Operations activities to respond to internal customer inquiries, mature and improve CPMO and project management practices, and maintain the infrastructure required to operate the CPMO effectively including tool administration, data management, and reporting.

responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a core part of the CPMO team and therefore have strong project management, communication, customer services, stakeholder management, and team building skills.

Job Description:

- Act as a first point of contact for inquiries and support requests for the CPMO, addressing questions and meeting established SLAs while being an advocate for the development and use of project management best practices

- Manage the pipeline of incoming new project requests using the Investment Concept and Business Case process; provide reporting on pipeline demand management metrics and status

- Set up and administer project sites/spaces in SharePoint and/or Confluence

- Set up new projects in required financial and PPM tools to support project initiation

- Support portfolio governance administration and processes

- Provide portfolio reporting and mature report automation

- Manage or participate in initiatives that support and mature CPMO capabilities

- Partner with Finance and Accounting as needed to manage and report on portfolio financials

- Identify opportunities to develop and mature practice guidelines, templates, and tool for Project Services and STS

- Maintain processes to ensure project portfolio data, documentation, and reports are relevant, accurate, and completed in a timely manner

- Assist with implementing / maintaining the CPMO communication framework, including email notices, reminders, newsletters, community site updates, etc.

- Provide training to Project Services and STS staff as needed

 
qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Project Management experience, PMO operations experience strongly preferred - Advanced analysis, reporting, and data management skills - Project financial management experience including familiarity with project budgets, actuals, capitalization, etc. - Experience with PPM tools (Clarity, Workfront, etc.), BI reporting (Tableau), and collaboration tools (SharePoint and Confluence) - Jira, Apptio, and PeopleSoft tool experience is a plus - Advanced experience with MS Excel and Access - Strong written and verbal communication skills including executive level communication - Experience developing and publishing reports from existing data - Self-organizing and takes ownership and delivers on commitments - Able to collaborate to deliver on assignments - Supports others in process changes - Able to resolve conflicts, or knows when it is appropriate to escalate - Able to connect the dots to the broader view - Meeting preparation, facilitation, and training
