Position Description:

Client Investments has an exciting Software Engineer in Test opportunity on the eServices Scrum team responsible for building and supporting email, chat and web call back functionalities.

As a SET you will be applying your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve PI customer-facing software solutions. You will also be enabling your Scrum team in accepting test automation frameworks and standard methodologies to ensure we are building the right product the right way. The Ideal Candidate

  • Owns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
  • Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks (Angular (recent versions), Protractor, Cucumber, JavaScript, HTTP, RESTful web services)
  • Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, writing testable and maintainable code
  • Self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented
  • Has keen attention to detail and wants to solve really hard problems, not just detect them
  • Able to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly
  • Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption
  • Able to work with remote and international team members
Primary Responsibilities

  • Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security
  • Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
  • Support the team in designing reliable, portable, accurate and credible tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health
  • Enable the team in designing and developing automation harnesses using Ruby w/ Cucumber and SOA Test.
  • Participate in application code and test code reviews with rest of the Scrum team
  • Participate in development using JavaScript/Angular and Webservices/HTTP
Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
  • 6 to 9 years of experience with designing and building Angular and web service applications while incorporating test automation frameworks
  • Working experience with:
  • Angular 6 or above
  • Working experience with test automation frameworks (Cucumber , REST Assured, Selenium)
  • Javascript
  • HTTP
  • RESTful web services
  • Jenkins
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Hands-on experience with creating and using Virtual Assets
  • Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment using CI/CD
  • Preferred:
  • Protractor
  • NodeJS
  • Docker
  • Service Virtualization
