Healthcare Project Manager

job summary:
Seeking experienced healthcare Project Manager with at least 5 years of extensive healthcare PM experience.

The qualified candidate will be working with internal staff as well as 3rd party vendors to replace the PACS system. The candidate must possess project experience with large clinical applications & be very comfortable with technology (in particular laptop & AV use) to facilitate meetings.

responsibilities:
  • Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the appropriate stakeholders on individual projects
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Prepare reports for the Director regarding the status of individual projects, as well as semi-annual reports on the value and productivity of the initiatives.
  • Hire new talent to fulfill needs.
 
qualifications:
  • Master's degree or undergraduate degree with project management experience
  • Initiation and innovation required with ability to research questions and problems, then document and support conclusions.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills required to interact effectively with all internal research staff and external contacts.
  • Ability to summarize data and generate tables. Basic statistical skills desired but not required.
  • Software skills to prepare presentations, announcements, and make tables and figures.
  • Communication and speaking skills to do lead group phone calls or group meetings.
  • Communication and speaking skills to interact with patients and parents.
  • Experience in staff management.
