General Summary

With minimal direction; design, develop, maintain, enhance, test and implement

solutions on the Salesforce Platform to meet business needs throughout our client Sr. Salesforce Developer is responsible for technical aspects of the entire

process of agile development for large complex projects.

Sr. Salesforce Developer may supervise or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary within Agile development cycle.

Essential Functions

Utilize business user stories to develop technical requirements to ultimately

deliver new or modified unique expert level programs, features, or modules, in a

timely and cost- effective manner

Generate design and development plans to achieve highly complex business and

technology needs, ultimately achieving competitive advantage for the business

Provide technical leadership to coworkers throughout coding, configuration and

project progression

Determine root cause for the most complex software issues; develop practical

efficient permanent technical solutions

Conduct system analysis, and contribute to system planning operations for highly

complex projects

Mentor other Salesforce Developers to allow for skill/knowledge development

through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

Drive constructive change and provide leadership

Lead all phases of software development life cycle including functional analysis,

development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment

and support

Design and manage the execution of test plans to ensure a quality solution is

Delivered

Act as subject matter expert to anything related to Salesforce

Provide education of Salesforce applications, processes and procedures to

stakeholders of Salesforce capabilities and help developers understand the

business impact of technical decisions

Work in the Salesforce.com development environment which includes custom

objects, workflows, validation rules, triggers, the Force.com IDE, SOSL, SOQL

and web services

Use declarative development tools such as workflow rules and field updates,

escalation and assignment rules, approval processes and process build

Develop, enhance and maintain custom applications on the Force.com platform

Responsible for Apex development and test coverage

Audit, identify and resolve data integrity issues and data migration using tools

such as duplication management, DemandTools and the Force.com DataLoader

Troubleshoot system issues and implement bug fixes

Integrate Salesforce.com with other systems including web services and

AppExchange apps

Apply best practices and design patterns on the Force.com platform

Administer, customize and configure Salesforce features including, but not

limited to Security, Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Users, Page Layouts, Record Types,

Workflows, Reports and Dashboards, Approvals, Object Relationships, Fields,

Validation rules, Custom apps, etc.

Use Force.com Dataloader, DemandTools or equivalent data management tools

to audit, identify and resolve data integrity issues

Create packages and deploy changes via SCM tool set/or Change sets

Develop documentation to support management and maintenance of Salesforce

and associated applications

Develops and maintains business and technical knowledge of Salesforce and

associated applications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in related field; or related

Experience

Minimum 8 years of IT development experience; 4 years of Salesforce

development experience
