Full Stack Engineer

job summary:
Would you like to build software that is used by traders and portfolio managers to invest, manage and trade billions of dollars a year? We are seeking an experienced software engineer to develop, enhance and support applications used by the Bond Traders and Bond Portfolio Managers in the Fixed Income division of Asset Management. The ideal candidate will join our team of full stack engineers and play a hands-on role in both the design and development of portfolio and trading applications. The Expertise You Have

  • You have a passion for technology and love troubleshooting and solving complex problems.
  • You are able to navigate existing application architecture and are cognizant of the challenges and recommendations in best practices for supporting distributed systems
  • You have demonstrable middle tier, database and front end programming skills
  • You think about testability of your code and implement it as part of your development cycle
  • You are able to produce clear and concise systems specifications documents and support documentation.
  • You have experience working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
The Skills You Bring

  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services with Java technologies and strong server side development with Java, J2EE, JUnit, and Tomcat.
  • Experience with Open Source Frameworks - Spring boot, Spring Core
  • Expertise in messaging frameworks such as Kafka, Tibco EMS or JMS is a plus
  • Expertise in enterprise integration frameworks such as Apache Camel is a plus
  • Expertise with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Hands on experience in test automation at various levels of testing (unit, component, integration and functional tests).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation including GIT, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy
  • Experience in working with AWS Cloud based infrastructure is a plus.
  • You are a strategic thinker with great communication skills.
  • You are a team player, a fast learner, and can understand and analyze complex systems and domains.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced and highly flexible environment.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in software development.
  • Minimum 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university.
