Design Thinking Strategist

job summary:
Role :

  • -Create human-centered designs by gathering customer needs, designing graphic elements and building delightful user experiences.
  • These individuals must have a solid understanding of digital design patterns, user interface best practices and be competent in the tools of the trade.
  • Assigned to more straightforward projects and tasks. In order to build an exceptional customer experience, individuals will be responsible for:
  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with business partners and software engineers;
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps;

  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps; Designing graphic user interface elements;
  • Creating process flows for digital solutions;
  • Developing both low and high fidelity UI mockups and prototypes;
  • Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables);
  • Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders;
  • Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness);
  • Adjusting designs based on user feedback;
  • Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors and images;
  • Guiding junior UX designers and providing feedback to team members on usability, process, and style; Working on complex user experiences;
  • Researching and establishing best practices for UX.

responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities

- Develops problem-framing approaches, establishing new starting points that lead to new kinds of solutions, which affects strategic thinking, not just execution

- Leading the solution of undefined problem spaces (e.g. "How can we reconsider how people look for and purchase items??)

- Storytelling and persuasion techniques build trust with partners and establish long-term relationships; comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization; demonstrates confidence and charisma

- Uses understanding of impact and success metrics to focus their team's efforts; Emerging understanding of broader organizational context and goals; Connects team's efforts with savvy grasp of ecosystem and organizational context; Developing an ability to articulate a vision

Tactical Responsibilities

- Sit at the workflow level and lead user experience, interaction design, and user research efforts

- Responsible for defining a style guise, pattern library, standards for applications, and interactions within a Lighthouse BU

- Assist with determining scope, as well as validating assumptions made when identifying solutions.

- Coordinate with designers at the product level (if available) on execution of product vision, as well as co-create with the workflow owners on new product opportunities

 
qualifications:
Education/Degree and Qualification :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, IT,or related fields (UX Design, Graphics Design, Associates in Human Ctr Design, etc)
  • Years of prior equivalent work related experience in lieu of a degree (if applicable): 8-10 years
  • Years of prior equivalent work related experience in addition to a degree: 7-9 years
