job summary:
Our client, a world class industry leader in the Medical Device industry, is actively searching for a technical HRIS Manager with hands-on experience implementing Workday Recruiting.

This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of business processes and methodologies along with a strong recruiting background. The candidate will have direct hands on experience in HCM functional design, configuration and implementation. This role will be required to work with global stakeholders on an ongoing basis to continually evaluate their business requirements and translate these requirements to system configuration requirements. This person will be responsible for staying up-to-date on all new Workday functionality (Core HR and Recruiting) and help the Talent Acquisition team understand how these new enhancements may better support their recruiting processes.

Beyond the implementation of Workday, this role will provide broader strategic support for other Talent Acquisition systems and help that team continually evolve their technology enablement strategy to better scale and support the growth of the company.

responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition (GTA) team to create and support a technology enablement roadmap to support our global recruitment strategy that is inclusive of Workday and other GTA applications.
  • Collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) team to define highly complex Workday Recruiting process flows and sequence diagrams. Capture and document technical functional and non-functional requirements. Define acceptance criteria, create use cases and provide guidance to team members to perform acceptance testing. Perform data mapping between business concepts and technical constructs.
  • Assess and enhance Workday Recruiting integrations, analytics / reporting, and data governance in collaboration with other HR functions globally and work with other HR systems. Responsible for the creation of custom reports or working with our vendor in the creation of such reports. Analyzes and synthesizes data into business reports that can be distributed within HR as well as to the business leaders
  • Deep dive into systems issues and data sets when necessary to identify solutions. Responsible for Workday Recruiting vendor relationship, partner with vendor on support, maintenance, patches, enhancements and upgrades. Oversees testing of system for upgrades, and implementation of new system upgrades and interfaces with other systems and locations
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, communications, information systems or HRIS related field desired
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with Master's; including 5-7 years of Workday Recruiting experience preferred and 3-5yrs of consulting experience preferred
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related HR recruitment systems (e.g., Workday Recruiting)
  • Substantial technical knowledge with expertise in at least one technical language or data management system (e.g., SQL Server, C#, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • 4-6 years of Experience working in a complex, matrixed and global business environment in a business systems analysis or equivalent role.
  • 7+ years of experience configuring and supporting HRIS technology systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; strict attention to detail
  • Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to influence and achieve objectives
  • Ability to work in fast paced compliance environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and external contacts that may be at high levels, under general supervision
  • Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner
