job summary:
Description:

  • Under general supervision and within a multi-cultural environment, works as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical professionals to translate business requirements into comprehensive and innovative system designs.
  • The primary responsibilities of a Business Analyst are to design business information systems and incorporate new technical systems to improve company efficiency and effectiveness.
  • As an advocate for the customer, Business Analyst ensures that systems meet needs of customers by creating designs that fit, monitoring development, and testing the results.
  • Documents existing business processes and participates in process improvement projects.
  • This requires a strong knowledge of the applicable business process and applications.
  • Supports customer by assisting with development of business cases and presentations for process and/or system changes as needed.
  • Develops end user training and works to ensure that users understand and follow established processes and procedures.
  • Develops use cases and acceptance criteria and monitors testing progress to ensure that applications are fully tested prior to deployment.
  • Coordinates global testing efforts with end users to resolve problems, gather feedback, and ensure that business can be conducted as usual in the or changed system.
  • Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
  • Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
  • Position may require availability outside of normal working hours and beyond a normal work week of 40 hours.
  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a Business related field and 4+ years of experience in a related field or 6+ years of related experience.
