Experienced highly organized and detailed Monitoring Architect/Monitoring Tools Expert

 
qualifications:
Technical expertise as well as the project manager skills, will ensure customers are successfully on boarded and fully utilize our Monitoring capabilities throughout in their lifecycle. Will be the bridge between teams which makes sure we leverage our tools and process to provide the most relevant solutions for our applications.

 
skills: - Proven experience with monitoring and setting thresholds with various monitoring tools

- Experience in engineering monitoring, configuration, reporting and asset management systems for large, enterprise infrastructures.

Experience with effective operational scripting and improvement.

Subject matter expertise with Open Source and Enterprise-class tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, ITRS and NNMI..

Shell and/or Perl scripting

- Understanding of current programming languages and capabilities include Python, Groovy, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of networking, databases and applications and their interdependencies in the context of monitoring.

- Experience with the interaction between the network, OS, and application platform

- System Administration or Application Development experience and sensitive to their requirements

- Experience with asset or configuration management databases

- Experience with agent configuration

- Setting of baselines, alerts and thresholds

- Understand how the OS platform impacts the applications response

- Experience with Unix or Linux and Windows operating systems.

Understanding of IT operational processes (e.g. - ITIL concepts).

Experience with UNIX and Windows.

- BIG Data

- SPLUNK and Sitescope

- AppDynamics GUI experience

- Experience with agent configuration

- Experience with AppDynamics "Business Transactions"

- Experience with one or more of: Splunk, Sitescope, Foglight, Tivoli, AppDynamics highly desired

- Experience with Perl, Python, Windows Batch, VBScript, or vSphere PowerCli.

Experience with DNS and BIND support.

Experience with IPSEC VPNs and NAT.

- Understanding Java stack and how it relates to transactions viewed

Experience with ITIL and ISO 2001.

Preferred certifications: TOGAF, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or CISSP.
