Client is looking for a Applications Systems Engineer to plan and conduct comprehensive applications/web development for complex projects; typically work as part of a team to implement complex business solutions

work hours: 9am to 6pm
education: Bachelors
 
responsibilities:
. Perform expert coding: design, develop code at an expert level, and manage development projects, teams, programs. May manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment
 
qualifications:
  • Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Demonstrated understanding and working experience with server operating systems Microsoft Windows or Linux, both preferred
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL scripting, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, both preferred
  • Experience with one or more scripting / programming language (Unix shell, Windows BAT, Power Shell, Java, C#, Python, PHP, etc.)
 
skills:
  • Basic understanding of networking, including IP addressing, ports and key protocols
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong oral/written communication skill and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with cloud hosted environments preferred
