As an automation engineer you will be responsible for developing Subject Matter Expertise on the Applications Under Test, helping to define/refine the automation framework for core Contact Center application platforms and integrations, automation strategy for new/large projects, developing scripts that automate what would traditionally be manual test cases, and support automated test execution runs. The primary application area supported is the Enterprise Contact Technology portfolio, consisting of Customer Relationship Management (Sales/Service) desktop, Interactive Voice Response, and Computer Telephony Integration platforms.

In this role you will be developing automation with Visual Basic, SQL Stored Procedures, and new and emerging Call Flow Automation tools. You will also be working in a shift-left model conducting analysis of functional requirements and technical designs to automate functional test cases early during the development cycle. The engineer will be working closely with the functional QA testers and developers, and will report under the Test Automation Team Lead.
General activities include: design, development and execution of automated test cases during Functional Testing for new projects and change controls, documentation of test cases, design, development and execution of regression test cases and analysis of failures, design, setup and maintenance of test data, including management of SQL Database, and provide support to less experienced staff.
- 7+ years application development and implementation experience - 7+ years of experience in Development w/ 3+ years of experience in Test Case Automation - 4+ years of specific development or test automation experience with Visual Basic and VBA - 4+ years of experience with SQL queries with strong understanding of Oracle, DB2, and/or SQL Server databases - 2+ years of SQL scripting (Stored Procedures) development experience - 2+ years of experience developing RESTful and SOAP Web Services with advanced WSDL experience - 2+ years of experience using HP ALM/Quality Center for requirements / test case / defect tracking; including experience integrating automation with HP ALM/Quality Center. - Strong understanding of server Operating Systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows) and experience creating, editing, executing OS-level programs/scripts. - Working experience with Middleware servers like Weblogic, Websphere, Apache Tomcat, and Jboss. - Ability to handle projects independently and successfully in challenging and cross platform environment.
skills: - BS degree in Computer Science or higher - 2+ years of experience with Cucumber test automation. - 2+ years of experience developing and/or testing Contact Center Technologies (IVR, Computer Telephony Integration platforms (e.g., Genesys, Cisco), NICE Call Recording, etc.) - Experience developing with Empirix Hammer / Call Master call flow automation tools. - Experience developing with Cyara Call flow automation tools. - Exposure to internet technologies such as HTML 5, JSP and understanding of internet architectural components is a plus. - Experience working with an onshore/offshore team model
