Overview: We are establishing a dedicated team to work with business data subject matter experts and IT leads to design, develop and execute data management practices that fulfill data governance standards and promote the quality of risk data through all channels from source systems to data aggregation processes to published dashboards and reports.

responsibilities:
What we do: Working with business partners and subject matter experts, lead an organized approach to discover and document data and data sources; write, edit, and capture metadata including business terms, definitions, and lineage; and import that information into the data governance tools (Collibra, IBM IGC, Oracle EDQ, and SharePoint). Perform data analysis, data discovery and data profiling using industry standard querying tools to support to gain insight into data and its quality and support development of the data quality program. Organize, present, and discuss results with appropriate business stakeholders to determine appropriate actions such as data remediation, data quality rules/checks, data quality thresholds, and data architecture or application changes. Develop and maintain accurate documentation of production data quality monitoring processes and results, and procedures for resolving data errors/anomalies. Essential duties: Work with business partners across Corporate Risk Management to identify and define critical data elements used in the generation of KPIs and risk reports, tracing back from final reports through the aggregation process, to source systems. Apply knowledge of data governance standards and concepts to play an active role working with business partners, data governance stakeholders and the IT department to edit, develop and document metadata, data lineage and data quality rules for in-scope data elements and systems. Work with business partners and local governance to ensure data integrity gaps and incidents are appropriately escalated, logged and analyzed to determine root cause. IQN General Description: Act as requirements project lead for medium to large projects, directing and coordinating requirements project staff and activities. Oversee production support of core projects, including gathering and documenting requirements, translating functional requirements to technical requirements, and identifying options. Partner with business users and act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Coordinates development, testing, and implementation of solutions with vendors. Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with track record of delivering business process requirements and use cases is required.

 
qualifications:
Solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum and Rational Unified Process Methodology in developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential. Solid understanding of relevant business issues. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and iGraphx or Visio Drawing tools along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required. The following is preferred but not required: Experience managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments, a background in the financial services industry, BA/BS degree and/or PMP certification.

Superior follow-up skills; ability to initiate communication and follow up with business and technology partners to achieve tactical deliverables in a timely manner. Superior organizational skills; ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a timeline driven environment through effective prioritization and communication to establish and meet stakeholder expectations. Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and initiate and respond to stakeholder requests and to collaborate with others. Exceptional written and oral communication skills for creating business definitions and other metadata, and including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively to business partners, technical leads, and the local data governance organization. Ability to educate and influence program stakeholders regarding data quality rule recommendations. 5+ years of experience in financial services industry with knowledge of financial services data, data aggregation and reporting processes. Experience with database concepts and SQL. Experience with SharePoint and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Some experience with data governance tools Collibra, Oracle EDQ, IBM IGC. Some experience with statistical analysis and data mining to support data profiling activities.
