Applications Systems Administrator

job summary:
Applications Systems Administrator is responsible for application management, support, maintenance, and disaster recovery.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure and maintain organization's applications.

2. Monitor current applications and systems for performance bottlenecks; Research and resolve performance problems.

3. Financial, Analytical, ERP, CRM, and IT based application support

4. Utilize and adhere and help define current best practice standards of administration.

5. Assist in maintenance of IT disaster recovery plans (DRP) and participate in recovery exercise.

6. Provide regular updates to Manager on all projects and tasks.

7. Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with personnel across several departments.

8. Review policies, procedures and documentation according to current established standards.

9. Responsible for documentation of systems utilizing collaboration arenas such as SharePoint.

10. Render Tier 2/Tier 3 user support.

11. Provide user training and support as needed.

12. Other duties as assigned by company management.

1. Experience Required - 2 or more years technical understanding of Cherwell Service Management (CSM). A proven and verifiable history of analyzing business situations and working within a group environment to provide efficient and effective software solutions. Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Training, and Operational Support.

2. Education Required - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.

3. Special Knowledge Required - ITIL Foundations certification required, proficient using MS Office products.

4. Special Skills Required - ITSM Experience. Excellent verbal and organizational skills required as well as the ability to mentor and provide leadership.

5. Other - Solid understanding of ticket management. Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment. Possess strong decision making skills.
