Automobile SoC Security Architect

job summary:
In this position you will join the team responsible for the security architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors designed for the Auto market. The team works at a system level spanning across hardware, software and infrastructure while striving for industry-leading solutions. This team interacts with product management, customers (e.g., OEMs), partners, HW/SW engineering and Services engineering teams to find the optimal Security solution for the Auto market. Snapdragon processors are used in different types of devices ranging from mobile phones to televisions to ultra book laptops, autos and IoT devices each of which have their own security requirements. Snapdragon processors are designed to meet most of these requirements thus work covers most types of security found in consumer electronics ranging from content protection to enterprise security to factory key provisioning issues to virtualization. Would be ideal for this candidate to have ADAS (autonomous driving) expertise or at a minimum experience within the automotive space.

The team works at a system level spanning across hardware, software and infrastructure while striving for industry-leading solutions. This team interacts with product management, customers (e.g., OEMs), partners, HW/SW engineering and Services engineering teams to find the optimal Security solution for the Auto market. Snapdragon processors are used in different types of devices ranging from mobile phones to televisions to ultra book laptops, autos and IoT devices each of which have their own security requirements. Snapdragon processors are designed to meet most of these requirements thus work covers most types of security found in consumer electronics ranging from content protection to enterprise security to factory key provisioning issues to virtualization. In this position you will perform tasks like these:

Develop a system Security Architecture designed to meet requirements for the Auto market, including Infotainment, Telematics and ADAS use cases

Create a Security Architecture meeting requirements from OEMs and Auto manufacturers

Perform analysis of existing Automobile systems for security vulnerabilities

Provide competitive analysis of Automobile security systems and features

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

7+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications PHD Degree preferred or Minimum MS degree with 10+ years industry experience required in one or more of the following areas

HW/SW threat analysis, security analysis, risk analysis

Cryptography and protocols using cryptography, design of HW/SW security blocks and modules such as HW cryptographic engines and hardware security
