Job Description:

  • Create, test, deploy patches, and remediate failures for the Windows platform
  • Obtain vendor patches, as identified by the sprint stories. Develop and prepare patch packages.
  • Vault patch code. Document packages and update test scripts.
  • Identify, communicate and document dependencies.
  • Create, maintain and publish patch development metrics on a regular basis.
  • Develop and update patch packaging development standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Prepare tests, test tools and environment for patch testing. Perform testing, as identified by the sprint stories and as needed.
  • Identify, document and communicate workarounds.
  • Manage test scripts.
  • Create, maintain and publish patch testing metrics on a regular basis.
  • Develop and update patch testing standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Create collections, systems in scope for patching, and deploy patch packages to collections, as identified by the sprint stories.
  • Monitor the collection releases and support any related incidents. Create and maintain roll back plans and be prepared to implement as necessary.
  • Create, maintain and publish patch deployment metrics on a regular basis. Remediate systems where patch implementation fails. Develop and update deployment standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Identify automation opportunities and communicate to scrum team. Implement automation as directed.
