We are implementing a new intranet site (Phase 1) and undertaking a complete redesign of our external web site (Phase 2) We are seeking a senior project manager for the initiative. The project manager contractor will report to the Senior Director of Digital Communications onsite in Stockton, California. The PM will support the Senior Director in defining site and channel standards and content governance development, training and implementation, site design and implementation. There is a high priority on enrollment and yield related micro-sites and channels. Intranet integration with Ellucian/Banner. Anticipated project timeline is 12 months.

Project Manager Responsibilities Develop project plan with Senior Director, Technology (IT), and project vendors. Create and maintain a project schedule that defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements with Technology and project vendors. Manage the project plan and schedule to ensure all milestones are met on schedule. Forecast, track and manage the project requirements, budget, purchase orders and invoices Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Meet with the Senior Director on a scheduled basis and keep him informed of all activities on the project schedule. Notify the Senior Director of any milestones falling short of delivery. Communicate with project vendors to ensure that they deliver planned assets and requested information as specified by the project plan. Communicate with internal team members and stakeholders to ensure that they deliver requested information and content as specified by the project plan. Communicate with Technology to ensure that they deliver planned assets and requested information as specified by the project plan. Project Manager Competencies Five or more years product, program or project management experience managing software or interactive web development initiatives PMP certification Knowledge of proven project management methodologies preferred (e.g., Agile, Lean, Waterfall or Six Sigma, etc.) Experience with website development, specifically involvement in large scale website design, build-out and maintenance/enhancements preferred Task-oriented approach with ability to readily prioritize and help advance individual tasks spanning the project's various teams Thrives in collaborative environment Excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as relationship-building skills Business and IT strategy experience Customer-focused mindset
