job summary:
Description:

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

- Developing expertise of Revenue Management business processes, strategies, and objectives and aligning IT system capabilities with each

- Analyzing Revenue Management processes and eliciting detailed business requirements for new or enhanced technical solutions and systems

- Breaking-down business requirements and complex business needs into their simplest elements and user stories to provide clear documentation to IT developers and architects while maintaining end-to-end traceability

- Creating functional and non-functional test strategies and test cases

- Assisting as liason between business, technical teams and EQA for test plan builds.

- Executing test cases as IT product owner in support of user acceptance testing

- Developing clear technical user stories/documents that accurately depict data process flows and interfaces

- Leading user story grooming with business and technical teams

- Participating in sprint and release planning

- Assisting in business process redesign as needed

- Improving existing software systems by identifying software defects during development and testing

- Maintaining clear and constant communication with internal customers and team members and promoting a team environment

- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates Revenue Management business systems and user needs

- Documents technical requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies

Experience:

- At least five years of business analysis experience and proficiency is required. Eight years of experience or more is desired

- Experience with cloud technologies and NoSQL database

- Experience with API (Application Programming interface) or microservice design

- Hands on experience of SQL, JSON, and/or XML is desired.

- Understanding of decoupled architecture, ESB, REST & SOAP is desired

- Prior airline and/or Revenue Management experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory. Fares and pricing experience is highly desired.

- Should be familiar with web application/UI development (and database/data warehouse concepts)

- Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of complicated tasks

- Will lead and direct the work of others

- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

- Project Tracking/QC Software: Microsoft TFS or similar product

- Other Project Tools: Microsoft Project, Visio

- Development Framework: Agile (primary), Waterfall-Iterative (secondary)
