job summary:
  • Taking ownership of the development side of working with SQL Server.
  • Take ownership of existing database code and schema, as well as trouble shooting and improving.

  • Produce ER data models.
  • Advise on enhancing data integrity and availability.
  • Constantly improve the SQL Server environment, and processes.
  • Manage Integrity, Index Tuning, and Production refresh of SQL Server databases.

qualifications:
Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 to 8 years experience as a SQL Server Developer.
  • 3 to 5 years experience with database design and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of XML Data type, XML Shredding and related performance tuning.
  • Experience with SSAS / SSIS / SSRS /MDX.
  • Experience with the following: SOA, .net/C#, WCF and ORM.
 
skills: Additional Skills required:

  • L/SQL, Oracle, JSON, Stored Procedures, functions and query optimization, UNIX,
  • Must be seasoned, senior level employees.
  • Cannot afford junior level and/or inexperienced individuals
  • Need proactive, self-starting individuals

  • Very Fast Paced Environment
  • Create, maintain, and support coding related to data analysis (stored procedures, functions and query optimization)
  • Analyze source data to assess data quality, volumes, performance.
  • Perform data mapping analysis and transformation definitions
  • Participate in Dimensional modeling / star schema design activities reflecting report requirements.
  • Design and develop ETL code to extract data from source systems and populate target data stores.
  • Additional responsibilities include creation of the technical and system specification documents necessary to support developed processes, and participation in development and execution of unit and system test plans
  • Actively uses and contributes to existing data processes to improve performance
  • Leverage the ETL and Data SMEs to identify opportunities to reuse / enhance existing practices, data sources, dimensions, or techniques to shorten time to delivery
  • Ensure proper monitoring is in place for the ETL and dashboards applications
  • Assists in identifying features which may improving the usability and scalability of the product
  • Communicates opportunities, efficiencies, and risks to management on a proactive basis
