Enterprise Data Architect

The role of the Enterprise Data Architect is to manage data as it moves through the enterprise, coordinating the efforts of the various teams involved. The EDA is charged with improving the consistency, timeliness, quality, security and delivery of data. In addition, the EDA must have an eye to streamline data flows and remove unnecessary costs from the complex, fragmented, heterogeneous data architecture that is found in Health Care data.

Enterprise Data Architect

The Enterprise Data Architect must be able to coordinate all enterprise efforts that affect data, with a focus on data that moves through the enterprise. Because the scope of enterprise data architecture is enormous, the work must be prioritized to enable data delivery to increase business effectiveness.

The role of the Enterprise Data Architect is to manage data as it moves through the enterprise, coordinating the efforts of the various teams involved. The EDA is charged with improving the consistency, timeliness, quality, security and delivery of data. In addition, the EDA must have an eye to streamline data flows and remove unnecessary costs from the complex, fragmented, heterogeneous data architecture that is found in Health Care data.

 
qualifications:
Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to self-supervise and manage own work stream based on set priorities

Knowledge of ER-Studio, Erwin or other data modeling software and data modeling concepts

Ability to learn and utilize relational and non-relational databases, data integration, and data design techniques

All members of this team are expected to stay up to date with industry standards, investigating emerging technologies and new releases. This means working in conjunction with technology architects. Participation in proof-of-concept projects and other projects that are early users of new technologies is required from time to time.

The EDA will provide overall thought leadership for driving the enterprise toward an overarching data governance vision.

Relationship management is a key part of this function. The ability to create and maintain meaningful business relationships is crucial to this role.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical staff

Must have experience with Business Process, Data Flows, Data Architecture and Data Management practices. Must be able to interact with application teams, data warehouse managers and the integration teams, as well as business people, shifting language to suit the audience. The EDA focuses on data that moves through the enterprise, and must coordinate work with these groups and other stakeholders.

skills: Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree in related field

Greater than 5 years as an Enterprise Data Architect
