Product Manager

job summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for a matrixed, cross-functional program team working on the integration of client's digital messaging platform with other cross-enterprise platforms (trading, transactional status, big data/machine learning). The successful candidate needs to be able to multi-task and provide leadership in a shifting environment. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, solid communication skills and a client-first attitude are essential qualities for success in this role. -Work closely with the leadership team to understand needs and deliver on the vision and goals for our client's digital messaging needs -Multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment organizing activities with team members to achieve success -Define and priorities the product backlog, to deliver on business vision and priorities; ensuring the team knows with accurate detail what they are expected to build -Ensure customer-driven design across user pain points, market needs, and usability test results -Execute the development process with technical teams, internal partners and external vendors from beginning to end including writing business requirements / use cases / user stories, working with legal / compliance, conducting user acceptance testing and communicating project status to project team. -Resolve problems and partner with peers, technical teams and our internal clients to provide solutions and timely resolution. -Support sprint and release plans together with Scrum Master -Participate in retrospectives to continually improve team processes

qualifications:
- Proven track record in Product Manager roles, forming the lynchpin between strategy and execution - Expert in agile methodologies for software development - Advanced analytical skills - ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve and make decisions. Ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data and develop workable solutions for the problems identified in order to test and verify the cause of the problem and develop solutions to resolve the problems identified. Translating insights from advanced analytics into action - Strong design thinking skills - uses design thinking strategies and methods to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative solutions - Effective in managing business risk through assessing risk probability and impact, developing processes for risk mitigation and detection in rollout and test plans, and scenario planning - The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses a passion for digital products, a high level of flexibility and the ability to work through ambiguity. - Experience with and ability to lead matrixed teams and people through influence - Ability to cultivate relationships with a variety internal consumer platforms and partners - Financial Services industry experience is a plus but not required
