Narrative Technical Designer Needed for Contract Opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond WA Job Description Our Client is looking for an experienced and passionate Narrative Technical Designer to help create engaging, compelling narrative content combined with thrilling gameplay experiences in their epic environments and universe. Responsibilities Utilize scripted systems and game editor to achieve narrative goals implementing animated story sequences within the player experience. Collaborate with narrative team on improvements to and development of narrative systems. Work closely with all disciplines, such as 3d Art, Engineering, Animation, FX, Audio, and Test to ensure cohesive player experience. Work closely with engineers to develop and maintain level building functionality. Playtest and iterate on content to ensure highest quality. Embrace the philosophy that there are multiple effective designs that can fulfill a goal. Highly motivated and contributes to a positive working environment. Minimum Qualifications & Skills Experience working with timeline based cutscene editors and/or scripted game cameras. Experience with implementation of scripted character animations seamlessly integrated with AI behaviors and gameplay. Familiarity with various cinematic techniques in movies and camera techniques in games. Proficient in using game editing software such as Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, etc. 2+ years experience using a text based scripting language (Lua, C#, UnityScript, etc.). Excellent writing and communication skills. Pluses Passion for engaging, character-driven narrative. A love for sci-fi, adventure, and heroic storytelling. In-depth knowledge of industry trends in interactive storytelling.
