SQL DEVELOPER

job summary:
Our client is looking for a SQL Developer for a contract to hire opportunity in the Elmhurst, IL area.

Must be able to make an onsite interview and work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Required Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of SQL programming experience

- Reports development, ideally SSRS

- Self-starter who can work under minimal direction

- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form

Nice to Have:

- .NET development

- Experience within a warehouse/manufacturing environment and related technologies such as: WMS, PLC, C++, order management systems, ERP systems & integrations, handheld devices and scanners

- Data warehouse & visualization tools such as Domo

Overview:

- The Programmer Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems utilizing all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. He/she performs systems analysis and business systems design functions related to systems development and installations.

- Performs analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation phases for new development projects, application software changes, and version upgrades

- Provides production system support services including investigation of processing errors and system problems

- Maintains programming skills and current knowledge of application development technology as related to specific technical project assignments

- Ability to analyze and make sound decisions is essential to this role. Follows company procedures and guidelines to perform most job functions. Notifies manager of any issues that might impact productivity, and other established goals and standards.
