Flight Test Instrument Engineer

job summary:
Flight Test engineers will support the full spectrum of flight testing activities of advanced aircrafts, from proposal development through post-flight test reporting. The candidate will be required to customize test processes to individual customers and circumstances. Assess prototype aircraft operations for risk and assist in develop appropriate mitigating procedures.

During the test execution phase, the candidate will support mission conduct, configuration management, troubleshooting, and asset scheduling.

Travel, overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work may be required.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have an active Secret clearance to start.

Industry: Avionics, flight testing

Development Processes: Un-structured (e.g. ad hoc)

Other: Activer Secret Clearance (to start) . Active TS w/ Poly highly preferable

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills with high level customer representatives

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline

Experience planning, documenting and conducting Flight Test activities

Developmental test program experience

Presentation experience to company and customer audiences
